We are still putting out the fires in the Old Mill while a group of villagers come to relieve us. As we travel through town we notice some groups of cultists and kobolds looting Greenest and as they aren’t a direct threat we let them be.
We make our way to the Temple and notice 3 groups around it. The first group is trying to bash the door in with a battering ram. The second group are using burning hay on the back door. The third group is circling around the Temple. We decide to send in Alreg Galanodel disguised as a Dragon Cultist to run in between the second group and cast Arms of Hadar. We then finish off the rest of them and put out the burning hay. We believe they were trying to smoke the people out of the Temple. We are then able to convince the citizens inside that we are there to help and they let us in. We notice some very wounded defender that I subsequently stabilize. Eadyan Falconmoon introduces himself and we offer our help. Norixius Osier soothes the civilians to make sure they will move away from the door.
Travok Torunn and I unbar and open the door as the group tries to bash the door in. The part of the group slide on the ball bearings that we placed in front of the door. We finish off most of the group but one gets away. The third group comes by and then we defeat them as well. We note two names that were mentioned by the slain enemies as Langdedrosa Cyanwrath and Frulam Mondath. With the area clear we start to escort the civilians and Eadyan Falconmoon to the Keep. We take the civilians through the sewers with Travok, Alreg, and me in the front and Canis, Osier, and Orianna in the back. As the last three of our party are about to enter the sewer Langdedrosa Cyanwrath appears with four hostages and challenges someone from the Keep to battle him. Orianna challenges him but is soundly defeated and knocked unconscious but still gets the hostages released. After the battle the rest make it into the Keep. We are greeted by the husband of the family we saved who gives us 2 healing potions. I spend my time healing those in need before getting some rest.
Alreg wakes up from a nightmare about which seems to forebode the coming of Tiamat. We all go to the Mess Hall except Canis where we meet up with Tarbaw Nighthill who tells us a group of monks that were after the Dragon Cultists. Nighthill then offers us 250 gold each for any information we can find about the Dragon Cultists raiders.
We take care of resupplying and then start by following the path the raiders made from Greenest. We then meet a young man Nesim Waladra with a bandaged leg who tells us of his master Leosin Erlanthar who went missing during the battle. We make our way following the path the raiders made. Sithick notices a group of stragglers (8 kobolds and 4 humans) hiding between some boulders in the grass land roasting some prairie hens. Osier goes into the middle of the camp and tries to play a song for the stragglers only to have the kobolds run away scared. Travok unfortunately spooks them while trying to sneak up on them. We kill all of them except one of the human straggler and then Osier intimidates him. He then tells us were the camp of the Dragon Raiders and warns us of the rear guard. I gain a belt pouch with 28 silver pieces as he runs away and then he gets an arrow in the back from Orianna. We notice a bag filled with candle sticks and some other looted items which we burry to pick up on our way back.
We make our way towards the camp and make our way towards the hills and plateaus. We notice the rear guard so Canis casts Pass Without Trace and we sneak passed the rear guard. Once passed the guards we get near the camp we decide to split up. Orianna, Sithick, and I go up the upper portion of the plateau. Canis, Travock, Alreg, and Osier decide to go into the camp with Osier and Alreg using Disguise Self to blend in. We make our way up towards the back Watch Tower.
